Cos Play Blog Was Started!! [sic] is a Japanese hentai visual novel themed around cosplaying. The player controls Hajime, a student who has decided to make money in the stock market instead of looking for a job. After making a significant profit, Hajime is distraught when his childhood friend, Michiru Mitsuse, visits him and loses most of his money by gambling it away in one night. To make the money back, Michiru offers to dress up in sexy cosplay outfits so that Hajime can take pictures of her in them and sell them. Although Hajime doesn't think it's necessary, he agrees to make her feel better, and the resulting sexual tension between them leads to erotic encounters.

The gameplay consists of reading the story and periodically making decisions that will influence the direction of the narrative. The game features multiple achievable endings and Japanese voice acting for the female cast members.
