Counter-Strike Neo: White Memories - Episode 12: Wish is the twelfth and final instalment of the Counter-Strike Neo: White Memories series of episodic visual novels. The series was created to promote and expand upon the setting of the Japanese arcade game Counter-Strike Neo, an instalment in the Counter-Strike series of first-person shooter games.
The White Memories series are classified as kinetic novels; visual novels which feature a linear storyline with extremely limited player choice or interactivity. Though half of the White Memories novels feature interactivity in the form of playable segments that loosely resemble typical Counter-Strike gameplay, Episode 12: Wish does not.
White Memories is set in the same futuristic setting as Counter-Strike Neo. War has broken out between two major powers: the megacorporation NEO, whose wealth and unethical command of nanotechnology has allowed them to grow beyond the control of the government and seize entire cities by force, and the Cosmopolitan Special Forces (CSF), a global task force formed by the United Nations to topple NEO and restore democracy. In Episode 12: Wish, the protagonist, a CSF soldier named Shou, embarks on a final effort to save the soul of the woman he loves.
