Crown of Mardan
Description
Crown of Mardan is a text adventure for the BBC Micro.
In the Kingdom of Mardan, there was once a priceless gold crown set with three large stones. It possessed magic that gave the king who wore it and his heirs great wisdom and power. The Kingdom was peaceful and prosperous, except four evil Barons who were jealous of the King's power. When the old King died, the three Barons split the jewels amongst themselves, and the fourth took the crown itself. The player has pledged allegiance to the King, and must overcome the Barons to return the crown. Each of the crowns are now guarded by a ferocious dragon, which the player must outsmart to gain their prize.
The player must find money to buy items to complete their quest. All commands are via VERB NOUN entry. The player receives 250 points for each part of the crown retrieved.
