CSI: Miami - Heat Wave

CSI: Miami Heat Wave is a point and click game based on the CSI: Miami TV show. Players take on the role of a customized new recruit to the Miami-Dade's CSI unit. The player investigates cases by going to crime scenes to find and analyze evidence to arrest the murderer.

Gameplay is similar to CSI: Crime City where the crime scenes are divided into equal squares which must be searched for evidence. Every time a square is searched, the player gains some XP and money and sometimes hidden items but also uses up energy which is refilled over time. Players can find traces of evidence in some squares which the player then follows by searching nearby squares, leading to finding a piece of evidence. After collecting the evidence, the player can take it back to the lab to have it analyzed which involves waiting for a timer to countdown. After analyzing the evidence, the player can question suspects of the murder by using the evidence and picking one of the three questions that appear (Who, What, Why) with one of them being correct, each question asked requires energy and once the player has correctly asked the correct questions for each piece of evidence, they will get a confession from the suspect and be able to arrest them.

Aside from solving cases the player can expand and customize the lab to their liking.
