CyberTank

CyberTank is a 1-player strategy arcade game for the TRS-80 CoCo.

The player controls a tank from a 1st person perspective on an intelligence gathering mission, as they attempt to invade enemy territory. A map of the nearby and previously explored areas are available on each level to assist the player with navigation. As the game progresses, the tank becomes armed with multiple different offensive and defensive systems, as well as stealth equipment. The tank is also armed with a radar sweep target indicator and the number and type of enemy vehicles currently in radar range. This equipment can be modified by being close to headquarters. For each mission, the tank has limited fuel and shield capacity, and tank systems can become damaged from enemy fire.

There are 4 types of enemy vehicles: flamethrowers, mobile pillboxes, battle tanks, and tank destroyers, each with unique offensive, defensive, and movement capacities. Four minutes into every mission, a surveillance aircraft arrives, which beams the location of your tank to all surviving enemy vessels. Four minutes after this, a transport plane arrives, and begins to deliver new enemy reinforcements at a rate of 1 every 12 seconds. This necessitates the player quickly destroying enemy vehicles and reaching their destination.
