Data Zapper: Model M7000

Description
Data Zapper: Model M7000 is a hand held personal data assistant type of device for holding names, phone numbers etc. It can also be used to draw faces and contains both a single player game and a two player game; Tetris: A version of the original 1987 Tetris* by Elorg, licensed to Bullet-Proof Software and sub-licensed to Mani Technology. This game is played in portrait mode.
- Sea Battle: This is a two player game based on Battleship, two players compete using an infra-red link to connect their Data Zappers, this game is played in landscape mode.
Both games are played using a combination of the four direction buttons plus additional keys.
The device opens like a book and the top cover can be folded right round so that it lies flush against the back. Basic instructions are printed inside the lid, on the right hand side is a wheel to adjust the contrast.
The device is unusual in that it has two battery compartments, the main compartment which holds two AAA batteries and a backup compartment which holds a CR2002 battery. There is no mains power option.
It weighs 137 g without batteries and measures approx 14 cm x 10 cm x 1.5 cm.
