Death Pit
Description
Death Pit is a 2D scrolling platform game where you play as a treasure hunter, setting off on an underground expedition to recover gold and a priceless gem. The aim is to get as high a score as possible. Points are earned by finding valuables below ground, and returning them to your tent near the entrance of the pit.
To survive the caverns, you will need a battery to power your torch and an oxygen cylinder to pass through water filled corridors. These slowly deplete with use, but you can carry back-ups (up to 4 items max) and fully charged replacements may be found on the surface. You may also carry a spade, which is needed to menace some of the creepy-crawlies that scuttle about the depths.
There are twenty gold bars randomly scattered through the subterranean regions, but the gem is always in the same position. The game ends once a timer runs out, you have lost five lives or have returned to your tent with the gem.
