The Dark Pit

The Dark Pit is a 1-player arcade game for multiple systems.

You have been trapped in The Dark Pit, and your goal is to escape. The player moves about a maze, gathering color-coded keys to unlock doors. Multiple rooms with danger connect to each other, and items can be brought between rooms. The player is armed with a weapon and shield, and there are 4 weapons plus an additional useful device. All the weapons minus the shotgun require energy to use, which is acquired by gathering power packs. Monsters respawn when reentering rooms, but items do not. The player loses a life if they hit a danger, and starts with 3 lives.
