Diamond Valley 2022

Diamond Valley 2022, marketed simply as Diamond Valley, is a limited-time game released by Google LLC as a promotional event for their app store rewards program Google Play Points. The game was accessible from web browsers or the Google Play mobile app on Android phones.

A pre-registration for Diamond Valley was opened between September 23, 2022 and October 3, 2022 to allow users to gain access to the game, and the actual game was live for nine days between October 8, 2022 and October 10, 2022. The game had five "stages" (four of those being villages, and then a final stage), with the first stage being unlocked from the first day of the game's release, the next two stages being unlocked the next day, and the final two stages being unlocked after that.

The story of the game revolved around a prophesied "Diamond Warrior" who could finally bring peace to Diamond Valley. Within each of the first four stages of the game was a different village with a different color gem to be collected. (Blue, red, yellow, and green.)

As players progressed through the story and completed tasks, they could find "diamonds" which could be collected and used to spend on real-world prizes, including items such as Samsung phones, Nintendo Switch consoles, mugs, Google Play gift cards, and more. Purchasing prizes were only available to users who had "Gold" or "Diamond" rank within Google's exisiting Google Play Points system, and were sent out after the completion of the event.
