Donkey Kong Bananza

Donkey Kong Bananza is a 3D platformer where players control Donkey Kong, accompanied by Pauline, as they descend through a subterranean world in search of a mysterious legend said to grant wishes. The game emphasizes exploration, environmental destruction, and fluid movement within large, open-ended levels called “layers”.

Gameplay centers around DK's ability to tear, punch, and reshape nearly any part of the environment, offering different approaches to tackle challenges. Chunks of terrain can be pulled from the ground and used as projectiles, surfboards, platforms, or tools for solving puzzles. Transformation states, known as Bananzas, grant DK temporary powers like enhanced speed, gliding, or breaking tougher materials. These are powered by a resource called Bananergy. There is a post-game mode and local co-op is supported, allowing Pauline to be controlled by a second player.
