Description
Dungeon Crawler on Demand! is a simple dungeon-crawling RPG.
On starting a new game, the player chooses a name for their character, assigns stat points, and selects a passive ability. Then, a random dungeon is generated, and a series of events are presented to the player: combat encounters (some of which can be avoided), rooms that may be entered or ignored, treasure chests that may be opened, and more choices to be made. Eventually, the player will encounter the floor boss, and by defeating it move on to the next floor.
Combat encounters grant experience, with enough experience, the player levels up, allowing them to improve their stats. If the player is defeated, the game ends, and all experience is lost. However, the player's equipment is retained between games, enabling the player to progress further in future runs.
Except when the player is presented with a choice, the game proceeds automatically: the player automatically attacks enemies during combat encounters, and moves on to the next room afterward. The primary interaction the player has is choosing which items to equip, whether to open doors and chests, whether to engage in optional combat encounters, and which bonus to take when leveling up.
