Ebony Tower / Xanadu Cottage

Ebony Tower / Xanadu Cottage is a compilation of two text adventure games for the BBC Micro. Both games have a save/restore feature available, and all commands are via VERB NOUN entry.

In Ebony Tower, the player has been tasked with defeating a dragon located in an ebony-colored tower somewhere on a deserted island. The player must explore trackless mountains, underground caves, crypts, and other dangerous places in order to defeat the dragon.

In Xanadu Cottage, the player starts in a small cottage in the woods, but soon branches out to explore the local city to find treasures for the museum curator. These must be brought back to the starting cottage. The player explores the local woods, a busy highway, factory, and the local recreation center including ice rink, pool, and musical theater.
