Xanadu Adventure

Xanadu Adventure is a 1–2 player text adventure for the BBC Micro.

The game starts in the Adventure Shop, where the player can buy some basic inventory for their adventure. Then the player ventures out in search of treasure. The goal is to collect a total of 15 treasures from the dungeon, overworld, and castle, and bring them to the pagoda.

Along the way, the player must deal with dangerous dragons, dwarves, and limited flashlight power. The locations of items, treasure, and monsters are randomized throughout the adventure, with items appearing on the same region but not the same screen each game. The player risks breaking their weapons whenever they enter combat, requiring the player to backtrack and fix it.

All commands are via VERB NOUN entry, and there is no save/restore feature.
