Equator
Description
Equator is a 1-player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.
The player is the leader of the Federation border patrol, tasked with guarding the border zone between the Federation and the Alien Alliance. The player must stop the advancing alien ships from reaching their base. The player moves laterally at the top of the screen while alien ships approach from the bottom. When the player hits an enemy ship it is pushed backwards towards their starting point. The player gains points every time a ship is pushed into its starting point, but loses points by shooting the dividing line. It's game over if an enemy ship reaches the top of the screen.
