Escape from Prison City

Escape from Prison City is a 1-player adventure game for the TRS-80 CoCo.

It is the year 2189, and the player has decided to take their one man spacecraft for a spin, accidentally straying over the border into the dreaded Prison City. Hit by the automatic defenses of the city, the player crash lands on the surface, and finds that their battery for liftoff has been damaged beyond repair. The player must find a replacement battery in the maze that is the city and escape alive.

The player uses their arrow keys to move through a large maze. The player will encounter people, animals, and other dangers in their search. During encounters, the player can choose to befriend, fight, or hide from the encounter. The player can also collect weapons and shields to help in any combat that arises. The player can also encounter falls, where a rope or shield may help protect them.

There are 25 game variations, and five skill levels. Skill levels determine the number of hidden batteries.
