Escape 2012
Description
Escape 2012 is a graphic adventure game for the TRS-80 CoCo.
In the year 2009, the Earth solar system was attacked by hostile forces from another solar system. The battle has raged for three years. Even with faster than light star ships and planet covering force fields, the war has come down to a stalemate. Both sides have tried to find or develop an edge over the other. They use their spies, scouts, and ultimate weapons to try to defeat and destroy the other. As in any other war, the main turning point can be the actions of a few or even one person.
You are on an alien prison ship behind the enemy lines. You were captured while on a recon mission for the United Earth Forces. The object is to escape and return to the Earth.
The player starts locked in a jail cell, and must plot their escape. All commands are via VERB NOUN entry. There is a save and restore feature. The player explores a large number of hallways, and can be captured by alien robot patrols, which return the player to their jail cell. The player is aided by their droid Tico, which can take a variety of commands to assist the player. There are 2 arcade sequences during the game, which must be successfully solved which involve collection antimatter and correctly placing a bomb.
