Farmer Pete

Description
Farmer Pete is an educational mobile app that helps teach kids number bonds through interactive minigames. The app is based off of the popular song "Farmer Pete" that was originally released in January 2003 on CD by the company Number Fun. In addition to an animated music video of the Farmer Pete song, the app contains a variety of different minigames that have to do with Farmer Pete and his sheep. (Which are the primary characters featured in the original educational song.) Some of the minigames within the app include:
-
"Find my sheep", in which the player helps Farmer Pete's sheepdog, Hugh, find sheep around the farm by tapping where they want Hugh to go and then tapping the search icon in the corener of the screen. Found sheep run back to the pen until all of the hidden sheep are found.
-
"Wash my sheep", where the player attempts to drag the correct number of sheep who can get washed by the sheep-o-matic if they've matched the right number bonds. If the player is too high or too low, the sheep escape into the field and get muddy again.
-
"Feed my sheep", in which the player helps Farmer Pete feed his fussy sheep during teatime by tapping the sheep and then tapping the correct table the player thinks they'd like to eat at depending on the number bonds for the sheep and the table. The player rings the dinner bell to see if they got the number number bonds correct, and if not, the sheep will leave the tables and the player has to try again.
-
"Dancing sheep", in which players send ten obstinate sheep who are still dancing to Farmer Pete's song in the upper field back to where they belong by tapping on them quickly every time they start to dance. Players are awarded more points the more quickly they tap on a sheep when it starts to dance, and bonus points when they tap ducks flying by to distract them.
This is the second game to be created based on the Farmer Pete property, the first being Crafty Ducks by the same developers.
