Formation Soccer: Human Cup '90

In Formation Soccer: Human Cup '90, players can choose between an Exhibition mode and a Cup mode. While the first mode lasts a single game only the Cup mode challenges the player with 15 consecutive games, featuring the fifteen other international teams the player didn't choose to play as.

The field is shown in a diagonal-down perspective. Scrolling of the pitch is vertical. Difficulty varies with the opponent team, ranging from easy to hard in later games of the cup. After winning a match in the cup mode, the player will be given a password in order to pick up where they left off.
