Galactic Battleground
Description
Galactic Battleground is a retro-styled, space-themed arcade game that can support up to four players. Viewed from a top-down perspective, the player guides a small spaceship around a starfield populated by asteroids and other ships. There are multiple gameplay modes that a player can select:

Single player, where one player guides a spaceship back and forth across the bottom of the screen, shooting at other ships, asteroids, and planets. Each level has a different challenge, like more obstacles in the player's path or a shield protecting the enemy spacecraft.

1v1 Arena Battle, where two players face off in a fixed arena, with one player at the top of the screen and one player at the bottom. Between the two players are obstacles that must be destroyed or circumvented.

2v2 Arena Battle, where four players are split into two teams and battle across a fixed arena.
Before each round players are provided random powerups that alter the abilities of their spaceship, allowing extra shots, movement or protection.
