Galactic Patrol

Galactic Patrol is a 1-player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.

The player controls a spaceship that moves laterally at the top of the screen and fires vertically downwards. Enemy spacecraft exit from the alien mother base at the center of the screen, moving up, left, and right. The base repeatedly shoots towards the top of the screen.

The player tries to shoot enemy craft as they emerge from the base, while avoid fire from the base. If the player is shot or if too many enemy ships escape, the player loses a life. The player starts with five lives, and there are three levels of difficulty.
