Galactic Commandos

Galactic Commandos is a futuristic action puzzle platformer where Earth is visited by a hostile alien ship. The Galactic Commandos are a paramilitary trio that are called in to defeat the alien threat. The player controls this trio of future soldiers, each with their own abilities. There is Heavy Weapon, who brings all the firepower with big rockets, the Shield defense specialist with a nimble gun and, finally, the stealthy Scout capable of sliding past enemies for some backstabbing with a sword, balancing on narrow platforms and capable of double jumps.

Much like The Lost Vikings, quickly switching between the three characters is necessary, using their specific abilities to progress. There is however also a lot of action involving platforming and shooting. When inactive the other two characters usually take care of themselves, by shooting or becoming invisible (for the scout). A level is complete when the three characters reach the exit. There are sixteen levels and it ends with a boss fight.
