Galaxy of Games: Kids Pack
Description
Galaxy of Games: Kids Pack is one of a series of game compilations in eGame's 'Galaxy of Games' series.
Typically, these compilations contain 'Special Editions' of games that were in eGame's catalogue at the time. Such 'Special Edition' games are usually fully functional games but with a reduced number of levels. As such, these compilations could be considered as taster packs designed to promote the sales of the full-length games. All the Special Edition games are identified by having 'Special Edition' or just 'SE' appended to their names.
This pack installs a menu system on the user's hard drive which, when launched, opens in a browser window, giving the player the option to install any of the six games in the package, to go to the eGames web site and either download demo games or play games for free. Once installed, the same menu can be used to select and play any of the games or, since they all place an entry on the Windows Start menu, they can be played directly.
The menu also has a Utilities option that can be used to install either DirectX, version 7.0 from the disc or download and install ebot, a download manager.
