Galaxy Video Poker

Galaxy Video Poker is a single-player, mouse controlled simulation of the popular casino machine. It appears in many of eGames compilations including Casino Jackpot 2 which is where this game comes from. It is one of a series of similar games developed for eGames by WickedWare.

As in a standard poker game the aim of the game is to make the best 5-card hand. Unlike other forms of poker the player does not win by beating other players but by compiling a hand that exceeds the game's minimum hand, here the player needs a pair of jacks or better to score.

The game starts with the player selecting how much cash they want to start with, they then place a bet $1 is the minimum and $5 is the maximum allowed. They are then dealt five cards and they can hold/discard any of these. A redeal is then made to replace the discarded cards and the hand is evaluated. If the hand scores higher then a pair of jacks then the player is paid, should this happen an animated rocket appears together with the word WINNER in a small window on the game screen, if the player loses then animated asteroids appear in the same window

This game has optional sound, in-game help but no high score table and a players winnings are not retained for the next game nor are they transferred to other games in the series.
