Castle Video Poker

Castle Video Poker is a single-player, mouse controlled simulation of the popular casino machine. It appears in many of eGames compilations including Casino Jackpot 2 which is where this version of the game comes from. It is one of a series of similar games developed for eGames by WickedWare.

As in a standard 'Deuces Wild' poker game the aim of the game is to make the best 5-card hand. Unlike other forms of poker the player does not win by beating other players but by compiling a hand that exceeds the game's minimum hand, which in this case is three of a kind, to score.

The game starts with the player selecting how much cash they want to start with, they then place a bet $1 is the minimum and $5 is the maximum allowed. They are then dealt five cards and they can hold/discard any of these. A redeal is then made to replace the discarded cards and the hand is evaluated. If the hand scores higher than three of a kind then the player is paid, should this happen a lightning storm breaks over the castle in the top left corner of the screen, if the player loses then animated arrows come flying at the player from the same castle.

This game has optional sound, in-game help but no high score table and a players winnings are not retained for the next game nor are they transferred to other games in the series.
