Description
Konami's Famicom entry of the Pennant Race series has some features that stand out from its Famicom baseball peers. It carries on the Pennant Mode (play the whole season) and Watch Mode from the MSX original. On top of controlling the players on the field, when you play Pennant Mode, you also play as the team manager and are in charge of managing the team's budget, player's annual salary and trading players with other teams. Running out of budget in this mode will cause you to lose the season regardless of your performance on the field.
Bizarrely, there is a team in the game consisting entirely of Ishikawa Goemon copycats. Specifically, Konami's own Ganbare Goemon's rendition of him.
