Famicom Yakyūban
Description
Epoch's first console game as a third-party publisher is the misleadingly-named Famicom Yakyūban (Famicom Baseball Boardgame) which has next to no resemblance to a board game and plays more like a typical Famicom baseball simulator with some light management gameplay outside of matches.
The game has a relatively slow ball speed and player running speed compared to other Famicom baseball games, creating a lenient reaction window when you play as the batter. The game controls similarly to the Famista games otherwise.
Inbetween matches in the Pennant Race mode, you have the opportunity to visit 4 shops to use your per-game salary to buy equipment pieces that boost your players' performance in various ways. If playing an one-off match, you are given an upfront budget to spend on these shops before you enter the match proper.
