Meimon! Daisan Yakyūbu

Produced for the 30th Anniversary of Weekly Shōnen Magazine is Meimon! Daisan Yakyūbu - a typical baseball simulator bearing a license of the manga with the same name. The game is faster than most of its baseball peers on the Famicom, leaving a very narrow window to react to pitches. In addition to singleplayer and 2-player free play modes, the game has a story campaign called "Dramatic Mode" where you compete against increasingly difficult opponents inbetween story cutscenes. Utilizing the manga license for it presentation, the game has character portraits and their mid-game dialogue on top of the screen.
