GladIIIator

Description
GladIIIator is an Ancient Rome themed parody of video game monetization in which the player controls a gladiator trying to deliver as much damage as possible during a boss battle, while having to fend off CTOs (calls to action) and other disruptive marketing pop-ups.
The duel takes place in an arena as Bossius Maximus hauls fireballs and stomps the ground and rotating blade and spike traps limit the playfield. Invincibility, damage, health and dash boosts appear randomly, as do confusing prompts like "Are you sure you DON'T want to give the boss a health potion?", terms of service modals, requests to rate the game and special offers opening payment processor browser windows—taking window focus from the ongoing game—interrupting the gameplay.
When the player finally is overwhelmed by attacks and/or pop-ups, the final score and phase reached are presented.
