Glider Pilot

Glider Pilot is a 1-player glider simulation for the BBC Micro.

The player is placed in the cockpit of a glider plane. The player starts at 800–1500 ft, and must look for thermal updrafts to gain altitude as they move in a westerly direction.

The player has instrumentation for spoilers, airspeed, variometer, altimeter, rudder position, compass, pitch, joystick position, and inverted craft. If the plane speed increases over 150 knots, it may break up.

The goal is to reach beacons and make a successful landing at the designated runway for points. There are three grades of difficulty that determine the size of thermals.
