Golden Axe: Myth

Golden Axe Myth is a fan game based on the (surprise) Golden Axe main series. It's a side-scrolling, weapon-based beat'em up and serves as a prequel to the series. Gameplay is typical - just go right (sometimes you can find secret areas), slash enemies and kill bosses. The player can choose between Ax, Tyris, Gillius and Death Adder. All characters have their own magic spells, like in the original games.

A variety of rideable beasts can be utilized by players or some enemies to gain extra strength or range. Additions to the series formula include attack and armor pickups which increase these stats by 10% (up to a total of 100%), money and a rage meter. There is also an extra game mode, "The Duel", where players face waves of enemies.
