Game cover: Golf: Quiz & DVD

Description

Golf Quiz & DVD is a 2 DVD set that comes in a slipcase. DVD 1 is Peter Alliss's Legend's Of Golf while DVD 2 holds 'Peter Alliss's Golf Quiz' and some video clips of Peter answering some interview questions. Peter is also on hand to introduce and explain the game, to introduce each round, pass comment in the players' score at the end of the round and to deliver the 'Final Analysis' when the game ends.

The quiz can be played by one or two players and it has two modes of play, the short nine hole game or the long eighteen hole game, whichever mode is selected the quiz will always have just five rounds with the long game just having twice as many questions. Players take turns to answer questions and at the end of the round the game shows both the round and the cumulative scores for each player so there's no need for a pencil & paper with this game.

Two rounds have multiple choice questions; in one round players must identify a golfer from a blurred picture which is slowly revealed; in another they must rank four things in order for example who has won the most US open titles; and then there's the 'What Happened Next?' round where the game pauses a video clip partway through and the player has to state the what happened next. Once the answer has been given the player(s) resume the quiz and state whether the answer given was correct or not.

In golf the players attempt to get round the course using as few strokes as possible which means that the winner is the player with the lowest score, so it is in this game as a correct answer scores minus one point again meaning that the winner is the player with the lowest score. There is a tie-break round should the scores be equal at the end of the five rounds.
