Hacker 2000
Description
Hacker 2000 is a science fiction-themed text adventure for the BBC Micro.
The year is 2000 AD, and the colossal computer Multivax controls all mankind. It is a world dominated by Androids and Thought Police. Living in the great city of Metropolis, the player has tapped their ancient computer into a broken data line, and now has the chance to change their fate and become a Programmer.
The player's goal is to find a copy of their brain scan and change it to a pass mark, and then must obtain the money necessary to bribe the thought police before the coming dawn.
As the player logs in, they encounter error codes which allow them to manipulate the robot Rover V. Rover V can be moved through central command with text commands, and can pick up, drop, and use items.
All commands are via VERB NOUN entry, and there is a save/restore feature.
