Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a compilation release that replaces the 2014 Xbox One version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. When it was released, it contained:

• Halo: Combat Evolved - Anniversary
• Halo 2: Anniversary
• Halo 3
• Halo 3: ODST
• Halo: Reach
• Halo 4

All of the content was already available at the time for Xbox One, either as part of the 2014 compilation or as DLC. All of the included games are remastered, tweaked and/or expanded in various ways.

For Windows and Windows Apps the content is identical, but released differently. It is the first release of these remastered versions, but the content was not available right away, but released gradually. The PC versions also have a series of tweaks and optimizations specifically for the platform. Also, unlike the Xbox One version, all included games could also be purchased separately and standalone when they were released:

• Halo: Reach (3rd December 2019 along with the compilation release)
• Halo: Combat Evolved - Anniversary (3rd March 2020)
• Halo 2: Anniversary (12th May 2020)
• Halo 3 (14th July 2020)
• Halo 3: ODST (22nd September 2020)
• Halo 4 (16th November 2020)
