Hell Driver
Description
Hell Driver is a 1-player top-down arcade driving game for the BBC Micro.
The player drivers their yellow car through a large scrolling city trying to run over all of the flags. A map shows the player and the flags' locations. The player can turn at intersections and accelerate or decelerate. The player has limited fuel, and can refuel at fuel pumps. If the car overfills it catches on fire.
When all flags are collected the player moves to a higher difficulty level, where obstacles like fire engines, police cars, rocks, and ice patches begin to appear. If the player hits an obstacle they move to a lower level. Fire engines do not follow the player. Police cars follow the player and can be stopped by firing smoke at the cost of fuel. The player cannot turn while on ice.
