Historion

In Historion the player is a time traveller Tom with the mission to save the classical era. To do this, he has to solve history-based puzzles, fight enemies and collect four magic gems. The player collects items and stores them in the inventory for further usage. The game takes place in Greek towns, harbors and four of the seven Wonders of the World. An in-game knowledge base is included and it is marketed as an edutainment title for players aged twelve and up.

Despite being set in the year 2000 Tom's starting environment has a science fiction look. He is a technician in the department of time travels in Historion 3 and he is sent back in time when the system malfunctions. The entire knowledge of all of mankind is stored in giant databases, but suddenly objects from other times appear elsewhere. He soon discovers there may be more to it than just a technical error. The game is played as an adventure with 3D characters against prerendered 2D scenes.
