Hot Shoe

Hot Shoe is a space-themed game combining an arcade shoot 'em up and Q*bert.
Our galaxy is at risk: Nuclear reactors orbiting deep in outer space are in a very unstable condition. You have volunteered to travel in your shuttle to deactivate them.

The first section has you steering your shuttle into an asteroid belt. You need to avoid contact with asteroids that are flying towards you in 3D-like fashion. Hitting an asteroid drains the shuttle's energy.

Having reached the destination, your astronaut beams down to the plant where the nuclear reactors are shown as coloured discs with numbers on it. The object is to jump between the discs to decrease the numbers thus bring them closer to safety, When a disc turns green it remains that way until a neighbouring disc explodes or a deadly foe called Ron the Robot jumps on it. Ron can be stunned temporarily by shooting at him. Touching Ron or an exploded red disc with no number saps away your energy. When the energy is gone you lose one of your five lives.

The nuclear plant is saved when the nuclear chain reaction has stopped and you managed to stabilize at least one nuclear reactor. Your astronaut then beams back to the shuttle to travel to the next nuclear plant with reactors that are more difficult to deactivate.
