Hyperlight Patrol

Hyperlight Patrol is a 1-player strategy game for the TRS-80.

As the commander of a single starcruiser, the player has been sent to a remote border region to investigate the reported presence of an Empire invasion fleet. The player's mission is to investigate the area and report and ideally attempt to destroy all enemy forces there.

The player's ship has limited energy reserve, shield strength, phaser power, and torpedo power. The ship is armed with forward and aft phasers and torpedoes, and ship damage is displayed on the status screen. Power can be diverted to different ship systems. The player can explore a total of 16 areas to evaluate for enemy vessels.
