Imola Grand Prix

Imola Grand Prix is a top-down arcade racing game. The player controls a red car that speeds along a straight track, which occasionally varies in width. The aim is to complete a length of track within a time limit. This will rely on overtaking many slower cars. Hitting one of these will cause a crash, and the player's car will be taken away by a safety vehicle and replaced on the side of the road. This, of course, takes time which the player can ill afford to lose. There are also puddles on the road, icy roads which make steering difficult, and occasional stretches that are dark and where the player can only see the area illuminated by the car's headlights.
