Inheritance

Inheritance is a 1-player stock market and gambling game for the BBC Micro.

The player starts with £10,000, and each turn can invest in stocks, including: chemicals, petroleum, retailers, aerospace, motor cars, and shipping. They can also invest in metals: platinum, gold, silver, copper, lead, and zinc. At the end of the turn, prices randomly increase or decrease, and the player tries to gain money. They can also choose to gamble at blackjack or bet on horses, the results of which can be more profitable, but the player runs the risk of losing everything. The goal is to maximize earnings over several turns.
