Description
Initial D Arcade Stage 8 Infinity is an arcade racing game and the eighth entry in the Initial D Arcade Stage series. It is the last to use RingEdge hardware. It introduces major updates to gameplay and structure, including a new D-Coin system and a redesigned Legend of the Streets mode.
The D-Coin, an in-game currency earned or purchased, can be used in the new Initial D Factory to tune vehicles and unlock customization items. Players also benefit from a new Continuation Ticket system, offering one free session continue per day, valid for a week.
The core story mode is split into three branches: Team Side (standard progression through racing teams), Rival Side (playing as rival characters, unlocked with high ranks), and Infinity Side (rotating weekly challenges unlocked after completing all Team stories). New courses such as Momiji Line and Hakone are introduced, and returning characters like Miki and Ichijo reappear. New vehicles include the Nissan GT-R Nismo (R35) and Subaru BRZ S (ZC6).
