Inkosi

Inkosi is a strategy game for the BBC Micro and ZX Spectrum.

The player has been placed as head of an African tribe, with the goal of surviving as leader for 10 years. Each season, the player must allocate maize to feed the people, plant for next year's crop, trade for cows, and decide the number of cows to kill.

The player wins or lose cows by local raiding at the end of each turn. One maize sack feeds one person for a year, and a cow feeds two people for a year. Cows can be purchased for 10 sacks of maize. The game is lost if population falls to more than one third, or if population exceeds 3,000 people. The final score is based upon the number of cows remaining after 10 years.
