Invaders

Invaders is a Space Invaders clone for the BBC Micro.

The player controls a ship that moves laterally at the bottom of the screen and fires vertically. Three large bases provide protection from enemy fire, but also block the player's shots. These get damaged when shot.

Enemies move as a group laterally across the screen until they reach the edge, move down one row, and reverse direction. Enemies return fire at the player, and the player must destroy all enemies before they reach the bottom of the screen.

UFOs move across the screen and drop large bombs that slice through bases. The player starts with three lives, and it's game over when all are lost. Each level the enemies move slightly faster.
