Description
Jingai Makyō is a Japanese adult fantasy visual novel about a war between humans and demonic creatures in the background of modern society.
The player takes on the role of Katsuki Kumon, an emotionless college student who believes that he does not have a heart. Since losing his parents in an accident, Katsuki has been cared for by his landlady, Momiji Hanawa, with his little sister Megumi sometimes visiting from a boarding school in England. In recent days, Katsuki has begun to dream about a umbrella-wielding girl named Didi. When Katsuki encounters Didi in the real world, he learns that he has a much greater destiny than he realized, becoming drawn into a conflict with the Narazaru, demonic creatures that secretly live among humanity. After meeting a female demon hunter named Ignis and a wolf demon named Kazeko, Katsuki must choose carefully who to side with, for his decisions could either save the world or lead to its destruction.
Like most visual novels, the player must periodically make choices as the protagonist which may influence the development of the story. There are three paths that can be taken through the game depending on which of the main heroines Katsuki decides to trust: Ignis, Kazeko, or Momiji. If the player gets a bad ending, the game automatically returns to the choice that caused it so that the player can continue from there. The game features voice acting for all significant characters and includes scenes with explicit sexual content.
