Jumpstart Reading with Karaoke

Description
Jumpstart Reading with Karaoke is an educational title aimed at children aged four to seven to develop their learn-to-read skills. This is done through the use of karaoke and read-along songs. A microphone is supported for voice input and the game contains technology that analyzes that input to determine how the children are performing.
The game used research to identify 200 words that are vital as building-block words to develop reading. Those words were used to create interactive learning activities and 24 original karaoke songs with videos. The included activities are Blending with Val, Comprehension, Delivery, Jump Rope, Karaoke Clubhouse, Mail Trail, Pack It, and Trash Cans. They teach the skills alphabet, recognizing and matching uppercase and lowercase letters, phonemic awareness, identifying consonant sounds, vowel sounds, digraphs and blends, sounding out words, reading word families and sight words, beginning spelling, building vocabulary, reading sentences, comprehension, and reading aloud.
Animal characters such as CJ, Eleanor, Frankie, Hopsalot, Kish, Pierre and Val encourage children to speak letters, sounds and words out loud and provide feedback back immediately.
