Jungle

Jungle is a single player, mouse controlled strategy game in which the player competes against the computer, it is an implementation of the old Chinese game called Shou Dou Qi or 'Fighting Animals'

The game is played on a 9x7 grid and all the pieces represent animals with different strengths and movement capabilities, for example the rat is the smallest and it can only capture the elephant while the elephant is the largest and can capture any piece. Other pieces include the cat, wolf, dog, tiger and lion.In addition to the standard game there is one game variant in which the elephant can capture any piece except the rat. The object of the game is to manoeuvre one of the player's pieces into the opponent's den at the other end of the board.

The game is mouse controlled, has optional music and sound effects plus an internet play option. There is a save game feature and the game keeps track of the moves played and has the option to print these.
