Kagerō Densetsu

This action RPG puts you in control of 3 playable and nameable ninja (a girl, an older boy and a younger boy) in a simple story to overthrow a warlord who have manipulated other ninja against you. The overworld view closely follows The Legend of Zelda (one fixed screen at a time, scrolling to the next one upon reaching and edge). When you encounter random battle from this overworld, you are put into a side-scrolling arena to fight the enemies. You have 4 primary actions in combat:

• Melee attack with your katana which has short range.
• Throw shuriken which is long range but finite in ammunition and vulnerable to deflection by enemy's katana swings.
• Cast spells which are unique to each party member, must be learned first by visiting certain locations and consume MP.
• Consume a health restorative item which freezes you in place for a few seconds. Time does not pause while you're doing this.

Non-ninja enemies will damage you via contact, but ninja enemies only hurt you by attacking. Only one member of your party participates in combat at the same time and you cycle through the other members when they are knocked out. Each party member levels up independently of each other.
