Description
Key Features is an interactive fiction advertising game, commissioned to promote the Replicator, a 3D printer produced by MakerBot Industries. Set twenty years in the future, the game's main character is a tourist visiting the MakerBot Industries HQ, who has wandered off from his tour guide and found himself chased by a security robot into a laboratory. Now it is up to the player to figure out the puzzles of this room in hopes of finding some way of chasing off the robot.
At several moments the adventure involves the player character creating inventory items with his Replicator; in these cases, the game provides a link to a website where the player can download the design for the item and print it out on a 3D printer of his own, though it is not necessary to complete the game.
The game is written in Z-Code and runs in the browser within an interpreter.
