Key Quest
Description
Key Quest is a 1 - 2 player arcade game for the VIC-20.
The player controls a small character in a maze who can move in the cardinal directions but only fires horizontally. A spawn point on each level causes an unending stream of monsters which move randomly about the level. Teleporters allow players to rapidly move across the level. The player must gather a number of treasure items, at which point a key appears. After collecting the key, the player can unlock the door to the right of the screen to escape to the next level. There is a time limit for each level and bonus points are awarded for time remaining. There are a total of 4 levels that loop and become progressively harder. The player starts with 5 lives and gains a new life every 10,000 points.
