Kittens
Description
Kittens is a game aimed at children, there is a companion game, Puppies which, apart from the animal involved, is identical.
At the start of the game the player chooses and names their kitten from the six available which, when chosen, appears in the kitchen of their home. The kitten must be kept happy and the happier it is the more points the player scores. To keep the kitten happy the player must feed, water and stroke it regularly.
Controls are simple and are all mouse operated. There are status bars in the lower right of the screen that indicate it's needs, whether it needs food, water, to poo, sleep, or just a bit of affection. In the lower left of the screen is a menu with five buttons. Clicking on Care brings up options to feed or water the kitten, or to send it to bed. Selecting Toys makes four toys available, string, a ball, mouse and a scratch pole. There's also an Area button with which the player can swap between the three locations in the game, the kitchen, the garden where the kitten should be taken to defecate, and the living room.
The player can play with any of the six kittens that are available but can only play with one kitten at a time.
