Kittens Game

Picking up in the same vein of A Dark Room, this game opens with the player, an anonymous kitten, being faced with a sole option -- to gather catnip, naturally enough. After a few seconds pass, more catnip can be picked -- then eventually, after enough catnip has been picked, a second option emerges: "refine catnip"... into catnip wood.... which can be used to build buildings. Starting with a hut for the kittens to live in, persistent players will eventually, after thousands of clicks and patient waits for their material prerequisites to regenerate, construct an entire civilization of kittens run on a catnip-based economy, interacting and trading with other nations and eventually reaching for the stars.
